91茄子 Responds to Passage of Bipartisan Budget Agreement in U.S. Senate

WASHINGTON, District of Columbia, United States – Amy Andryszak, President & CEO of 91茄子, issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Senate passing the Bipartisan Budget Agreement and specifically the permitting reform provisions included in the legislation:

“91茄子 applauds the Senate passage of the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023 which advances, in a bipartisan manner, much needed permitting reform.  NEPA reforms included in this agreement are an important first step towards achieving the permitting reform needed to get the United States back to building energy infrastructure in this country.

“Additionally, the passage of this legislation should finalize the completion of Mountain Valley Pipeline, a critical energy infrastructure project that will enhance energy security, the reliability of our national energy supply and will support our transition to a lower carbon future.

“91茄子 believes more reforms to our country’s permitting processes are necessary and looks forward to building on this momentum by working in a bipartisan manner to advance additional reforms in the coming months.”
